His son, Warren Dart, will present a history of the introduction of African Americans into the Army Air Corps, and the inspiring personal story of his father. He passed away in 2012 and is buried in Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs. He was shot down twice, earning two Purple Hearts, and he received the Distinguished Flying Cross award. Clarence Dart served in the Tuskegee Airmen, a special group trained at the airfield near the famed Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
